Admission Eligibility
Comprehensive requirements for registered nurses entering the Post Basic degree program.
Educational Foundation
- Passed Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent recognized examination.
- Legacy Clause: Candidates who completed 10+1 in or before 1986 are also eligible for admission.
Professional Certification
- Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM).
- Registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.
Male Nurse Requirements
- Male nurses trained before the new integrated course implementation must be registered with the State Nurses Registration Council.
- Must produce evidence of INC-approved training (similar duration) in one of these areas: O.T. Techniques, Ophthalmic, Leprosy, TB, Psychiatric, Neurological, Community Health, Cancer, or Orthopedic Nursing.
Medical & Personal Status
- Candidate shall be medically fit for advanced clinical practice.
- Colour blind candidates are eligible if wearing corrective lenses or spectacles.
- Married candidates are fully eligible for admission.
